Spirals

The gesture that returns to the centre

Lines that turn on themselves, widen and close again around a core of light. The spirals are the oldest heart of Antonio Di Cristofaro's research: a movement that is at once dance, breath and meditation.

When colour chooses its own path

Threads of colour dropped, poured and interwoven. In these works the painter guides the paint but lets the material decide the final stroke: the result is a vibrant, almost musical energy.

Bands

The rhythm of breathing

Horizontal bands of colour alternating on a white ground: quick, light, dry-brushed strokes next to dense, earthy ridges of paint. A series about rhythm, pauses and silence.

Matter and Landscape

Earth, water and cracks of light

Inner landscapes in which colour ripples, cracks and builds up in layers. Red islands on blue seas, trees rising from the water, plains at sunset: painting becomes geology and memory.
